Well, “Bend it like Beckham” is about a young girl called Jesminder ‘Jess’ Kaur Bhamra. She is a football-loving daughter of a Indian family in London. Unlike her, her mother doesn’t like football – call’s it even “football shootball” – she thinks it’s not good for a traditional Indian girl to like football. She has a older sister which is the more loved one. She is called “Pinky” and she is a traditional Indian girl, her mother wants Jess to be. Pinky is prepared to live a life full of cooking but Jessminder doesn’t want to live like that. She wants to be a professional football player just like her big Idol David Beckham.
